Shan Koe Mee How to Play Guide
Shan Koe Mee is the heart of Myanmar's traditional card game circle. 2 to 6 players can join, and the Banker role rotates among players. The Banker deals 3 cards to each player and holds 3 cards themselves.
Scoring note: Only the last digit of the total of 3 cards counts as the score. For example — 7 + 8 + 5 = 20 → score is 0. 9 is the highest score. 8 and 9 are called "Natural" — the Banker can only deal extra cards if their score is equal to or higher than these.
On a tie, most Myanmar tables rule in favour of the Banker. Players compete against the Banker, not each other — that is the defining feature of the game. When the Banker runs out of chips, the role passes to another player.
Budget reminder: Set the amount you are comfortable losing in a session before you sit down to play. Switching the Banker role after a loss does not guarantee a better outcome — only a budget limit keeps you in control.
